Columbia Pack Walks
About PAWS IQ Pack Walks
What Pack Walks Are:
Pack Walks are structured, trainer-led walks for groups of dogs.
They’re designed to:
Build neutrality around other dogs.
Improve leash manners + impulse control.
Regulate mind + nervous system through movement.
Support dogs that struggle with overstimulation or reactivity.
Provide safe social learning, not chaotic play.
They’re not “social hour.”
They’re controlled experiences where a balanced group of dogs learn to exist together calmly.
Why Pack Walks Matter:
Because most behavioral issues show up outside the house.
Our Pack walks help dogs:
Practice calmness in the presence of other dogs.
Learn to follow centralized human leadership instead of scanning the environment.
Work through triggers with guidance.
Build confidence through structured movement.
Rehearse neutrality (the most overlooked skill in dog trainin.
When a dog can remain neutral around others, everything else becomes easier.
Lack of meaningful exercise is one of the main contributing factors to misbehavior in dogs.
Pack Walks Help Your Dog Learn
Every pack walk reinforces:
Leash pressure + release mechanics
Spatial boundaries
Walking in a calm, regulated state
Passing other dogs without reacting
Following directional guidance smoothly
Settling the mind through structured rhythm
